  1. You make a valid point. I've heard many artists dis-empower and discredit themselves because they say they "dabble" and feel they don't do "real" art or aren't proficient enough at producing something valued as art. These thoughts will hinder and shackle their creativity. Love your work, by the way!

  2. Thanks for both your comments.

"hinder and shackle" is really what they do isn't it. The thing that really gets me is that the word 'dabble' has a negative connotation. Where as I really want to encourage folks to embrace it as a skill.
I think there's a whole other blog post in this subject.
    thanks for stopping by,

wow, too much weight. Thank you for your post, love, Dana

  7. Welcome to our world Karma! It was a wonderful day when I was able to shed all the restraints of the labels of my past that people gave me that limited me and fueled my self doubt. The freedom of just being able to enjoy your creative mind will be a wonderful journey. I look forward to watching your blog and seeing your growth. You have a very good start to your blog and can add another title to your Dabblingness: Word Spinner. You have a definite gift of this new hat. Good luck!

  8. I think it's hard to be a doll artist and not also be a "dabbler". That's part of what makes it such fun!
